Hola!
about
I've been called Full Stack Unicorn, and I think it's a very descriptive title since I have a strong skillset in combining ICT technology, people, and business skills. In the most prior years, I've been working in Nordic Business Forum as Design and Development Specialist, and in 2020 I moved to a new position, where I took even more responsibility for the company's IT assets. Now I'm in the position of Head of Digital Development and IT at Nordic Business Forum.
My tasks include ongoing design, development, and maintenance of new and existing websites, e-commerce sites, and our digital products. I'm also carrying out administrative work such as IT security, developing reports, and processes to continuously monitor data quality and integrity. Also working closely with stakeholders to discuss and customize our digital tools (such as Salesforce, CRM and Pardot, Marketing automation platform) to meet the company’s needs. I also take care of designing almost all of our event materials for both print and digital for our events in Finland, Sweden, and Norway.
I tried to compile a comprehensive resume to here where you can find information about what kind of education I have, where I've worked and where I 've volunteered. I have not listed every single programming language nor program I can use on my skills. On a daily basis, I use a good bunch of Adobe Creative Cloud programs and currently, I'm mostly developing sites on Wordpress and Woocommerce. I'm a real supporter of lifelong learning, and I'm continuously trying to learn new skills that could help me to grow professionally, for example lately I've learned to use Autocad and honing my skills to get Salesforce Administrator Certification some day. Lately, I also got my Master of Science in Economics and Business Administration. I wrote my master's thesis about the relationship between piracy and paid streaming services and what factors influence the adoption of paid streaming services. Since I'm also a Tech Geek, I'm moderating io-tech.fi discussion forum on my spare time, which is the busiest tech forum in Finland and Scandinavia with over 25 000 registered users and average daily post count of 5 000 posts.

education
In the 2000s I spent three years learning web and graphical design in the vocational college where I got my Media Assistant degree. Even though this degree is from the time when people used to talk about multimedia and nobody knew anything about responsive design, it provided the basics of the flash, web design, mobile services, 3D modeling, image editing, presentation technology, photography, video production, and audio production. After that, I studied a few years Information Technology, Industrial Management, and Engineering at the University of Applied Sciences, but then I found my true calling - Information Systems Science at the University of Jyväskylä. The degree in Information Systems is unique in Finland in combining Information Technology with Economic Sciences. The primary interest lies in the development and usage of information systems as part of an organization and business with the aim of understanding them holistically from the viewpoint of technology, the users and the effects of the usage of information systems. I got my Master of Science in Economics and Business Administration in 2018, and I wrote my master's thesis about the relationship of piracy and paid streaming services and also what factors influence in the adoption of paid streaming services.
experience
The most prior years I've been working in Nordic Business Forum as Design and Development Specialist which includes ongoing design, development, and maintenance of new and existing websites, e-commerce sites and our live stream platform. I'm also carrying out administrative work such as IT security, developing reports, and processes to continuously monitor data quality and integrity. I also take care of designing almost all of our event materials for both print and digital for our events in Finland, Sweden, and Norway. In 2020 I moved to a new position, where I took more responsibility on the company's IT assets. Now I'm in a position of Head of Digital Development and IT at Nordic Business Forum. Before my career in NBF, I was working in Online Solutions Oy as a Web Developer as a full-time employee during my master studies and I was designing and developing responsive websites and e-commerce for many business types using mostly HTML, CSS, JavaScript and WebStage, which was an in-house server-side scripting language designed for web development to produce dynamic web pages. I was also working as a freelance Graphic and Web Designer, and I volunteered as a Graphic Designer and Webmaster for multiple different student associations. My oldest useful work experience is from the 2000s when I was a teenager, and I got my first possibility to work in the advertisment company. I also have some valuable experience from marketing when I was working in 3M as a marketing assistant or when I tried physical work and worked in construction sites for a brief time.
In 2020 I moved to a new position, where I took responsibility for the company's IT assets and digital development matters. I reported directly to the CEO.
My tasks include ongoing design, development, and maintenance of new and existing websites, e-commerce sites, and our live stream platform. I still also take care of designing almost all of our event materials for both print and digital for our events in Finland, Sweden, and Norway.
Nordic Business Forum is Europe's most significant business and leadership conference, bringing together over 10 000 CEOs, entrepreneurs and executives from over 50 countries to our annual events in Helsinki (Finland), Stockholm (Sweden) and Oslo (Norway). Our past speakers include Barack Obama, Al Gore, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Arianna Huffington, Sir Richard Branson, Ben Bernanke, Steve Wozniak, Jack Welch, and many others.
Nordic Business Forum is not just any business event. In fact, it is more than just an event. This is a community of people all reaching for the same goal, to make a difference and an impact in the world through better business. I work as a full stack designer/developer and as a so-called jack of all trades, my typical working day includes the following tasks (and much more):

During my university studies, I was very active within different student subject associations (Pörssi ry, Dumppi ry, Jyväskylä Entrepreneurship Society ry), and I mostly volunteered as a Graphic Designer and Webmaster. From that volunteer experience, I noticed that there was a high demand for that kind of services in Jyväskylä and I started working as a Freelance Graphic and Web Designer by invoicing different companies for my services.

▪ Designing and developing responsive websites using various Content Management Systems or with plain code without any content management frameworks.
▪ Knowledge of typography, UI design, UX design, web design, the handling and manipulation of images, vector graphics and basic design elements.

After my one-year military service, I worked as a construction worker for a bit over one year before I started my university studies.
▪ Assisted with construction projects and performed general duties including: running parts, demolition, paint preparation, wire pulling, pipe installation, installation of various construction materials, and work site cleaning.
▪ Performed physical labor for masonry projects including: mixing mortars and cements, operating a jackhammer and grinder, lifting and moving materials to and from various job sites.
I worked as a Marketing Assistant Trainee in 3M Finland as a part of my vocational studies in audiovisual communication. After my successful trainee period, I was hired with a fixed-term contract as Marketing Assistant since I was starting military service in Summer 2008.
▪ Supporting the sales process by being involved in the day to day activities of the marketing department and by providing an invaluable support service to the sales and marketing team.
▪ Involved in producing and publishing printed marketing material.
When I was 15 years old I got my first possibility to work as a graphic designer. Even though it was a summer trainee position, I was working on various projects ranging from print advertisements to brochures, for clients such as the Yamaha, Orion, and Dressmann.
